An additional included feature enables list management for editing drop-down options. Other built-in Managers, including language and translation tools, and data migration utilities, ease process administration for global enterprises, reducing IT steps and costs, whether operating in a globally harmonized single environment or highly decentralized local environments.
Application Option Manager
SmartSolve’s Application Option Manager feature is used by the pre-built application system to allow customers to control the behavior of the applications. Over the years, Pilgrim engineers have recognized that customers have different views on how to accomplish process automation. As Pilgrim learned to accommodate these nuances, the application was designed to include the Application Option feature manager to allow customers to enable or disable business logic within the application to meet specific business process needs.

Pilgrim Software offers SmartSolve users the ability to create new applications or redesign Pilgrim’s existing ‘Best Practices’ out-of-the-box forms to help customers meet their industry requirements, diverse products demands, and changing organizational needs. SmartSolve functional administrators also can incorporate other business processes to be compliant and integrated with Pilgrim’s ERCQM solution. Forms Manager Framework
With Pilgrim’s Forms Manager, you can maintain different forms for each of your enterprise’s local organizations that leverage global policies and standards, while maintaining the ease of a centralized deployment. This powerful framework forms the basis for managing the various forms supplied by Pilgrim as pre-built, or customer-modified or customer-created. The Forms Manager allows for the preservation of the forms’ integrity during an upgrade process, thereby greatly reducing the time it takes to validate and verify.
Forms Configurator
With the Pilgrim’s Forms Configurator you can tailor form properties including: changing existing field properties, such as what is required or what is optional; adding help/tool tips; and, even changing the color of the fields, when the field will appear, when it will disappear from the form, etc. The Forms Configurator can fully leverage user and security information to drive the form behavior.
Language Manager
Whether you are with a smaller company serving a multilingual customer base, or larger enterprise with workers across the globe, Pilgrim Software’s pre-developed SmartSolve® Language Packs provide a cost-effective way to deliver the optimal user experience regardless of location or local language. The Language Packs standardize support for users who create, edit and manage data in different languages across an organization by converting Pilgrim’s application into the company’s primary language or other language of choice.

Translation Manager and Editor
You can easily change and maintain the terminology or language to allow end-users to view the application in familiar terms. The translation manager allows not only localization of the previously defined terms by Pilgrim for fields, error/warning messages and menu names, but also allows customers to create the support of the Pilgrim solution to run in any language, including French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Polish, Dutch, Chinese, etc.
In addition to the pre-developed language packs, you can easily change and maintain the terminology or language to allow end-users to view the application in familiar terms. Data Language Support
The application supports not only the menus, field labels, warning and error messages to be in alternate languages, but allows you to identify the various drop-down values in different languages, making the application and the data truly viewable in multiple languages. This unique capability provides you a high degree of flexibility, whether you operate in a globally harmonized single-language environment or highly decentralized local-language environment.
List Manager
Pilgrim provides for numerous pre-developed drop down list fields as part of its out-of-the-box application. We fully understand that no matter how many default drop downs are provided, customers require the ability to create and maintain customer-specific standardized lists of information codes.
Migration & Data Manager
SmartSolve® Deployment Migration Utility (DMU™) allows you to copy the configuration and policy settings from one system or organization’s environment to another with easy import and export functions through a graphical user interface. Customers:
- benefit by substantially reducing the validation of multiple environments, and
- ensure that a configuration is securely and reliably duplicated without the need for manual processing.
The SmartSolve Deployment Migration Utility allows you to migrate your most important configuration data from one SmartSolve server to another. With DMU, you can migrate the information in master and set-up tables, as well as your escalations, policies, and record types, without having to re-key the data in the new environment, ensuring configuration consistency. SmartSolve DMU can help you duplicate an environment easily with two options by connecting directly to another SmartSolve server environment and migrate data in real-time for all configuration data, or only select a set of object data.
Org Manager
Pilgrim’s solution has been developed as a true enterprise-level collaborative quality management platform that enables multiple sites, customers and suppliers to effectively coordinate improvement activities and share critical information in a standardized, consistent and secure manner.
SmartSolve® has been designed with a centralized database structure. The system uses logical partitioning to separate the data within the database. The system provides an ‘Organization’ capability by which the customer may define its corporate site and local sites. Each of the organizations may then have their own departments, products, users, etc. This capability allows for rapid deployment of the system to a multiple-site enterprise when the customer is looking for an enterprise-wide standardization of workflows, policies and procedures.
