Data Cubes
The normalized transactional data that is stored in the SmartSolve database is extracted on a scheduled and timely basis using Microsoft Analysis Services into SmartPulse OLAP cubes. The data in these OLAP cubes is stored in an easy-to-use format, with which users can create reports without the need to comprehend the data views or complex table joins. The transactional data from different functional areas is extracted into the cubes as dimensional elements. The cube also contains fact fields like Average, Count, Total and others of specific data elements to be analyzed using the Dimensions. The field labels in the cubes are business labels based on the translation file rather than the field labels in the database.
User Interface (UI)
The SmartPulse UI is user friendly, allowing business users to easily create reports and dashboards. The User Interface provides Excel-like options to create multiple worksheets, thus allowing the ability to create different views of the data. Once the report is created it can be easily published to the user community for consumption. The end-users that have access to the reports can run the reports, visualize the data and easily either drill into or collapse the data.
