Online Procedures and Worksheets
Pilgrim’s Equipment Management is fully integrated with Pilgrim’s Document Management system to ensure that the most current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and drawings are available online and will be used for Repeatability and Reproducibility (R&R) studies and Calibration activities. It can also be integrated with other document management systems. Additionally, worksheets outlining the criteria to perform R&R study and calibrate “measurement devices and equipment” (Equipment) can be set up in the system. Amongst these criteria are general Equipment conditions and measurement characteristics that apply to specific Equipment such as ambient recordings, number of samples and point measurements. Worksheets containing these criteria can be routed for approvals through the appropriate personnel.
Intelligent Scheduling
Pilgrim’s Equipment Management features sophisticated statistical tools to manage Equipment scheduling. The system analyzes past results to optimize future calibration and R&R schedules (“automatic switching of schedules”). Moreover, it allows you to set up a holiday/weekend calendar and "stop the clock" of Equipment usage. You can also define multiple types of schedules for Equipment, including short-term calibration, long-erm maintenance, R&R study, repair activities and others. This intelligent scheduling improves the precision of measurements and machines, optimizes resource utilization and reduces product nonconformances.
Equipment Inventory Management
Pilgrim’s Equipment Management can be used to manage Equipment inventory and track assets. It allows you to record the following information of your Equipment: availability for use, ownership, location, department, status of equipment life, repair activities, quality costs, and warranty information. Equipment Management allows multiple and simultaneous Equipment check-in and check-out from the inventory. This saves you time and cost. Moreover, you can track Equipment usage history including cross-referencing between Equipment and products. In case of product nonconformances and recalls, the Equipment and product traceability is extremely valuable to assist in your root cause analysis. This traceability also facilitates global product recalls in case of Equipment non-conformances.

If you are working with external calibration laboratories, you can automatically import data from these labs into the system for storage and traceability.
