Palomar Medical Technologies to Manage Supplier Quality with Pilgrim’s Supplier Focus™

Tampa, FL – July 2, 2008 -- Pilgrim Software, Inc., a world-leading provider of Enterprise Compliance and Quality Management (ECQM) software solutions, today announced that Palomar Medical Technologies, a manufacturer of light-based products used in medical and cosmetic procedures, has selected and rapidly implemented Pilgrim’s Supplier Focus™ software to automate its supplier quality management system.

Palomar was seeking a solution that would integrate to its existing ERP system and enable its Quality Systems department to share key enterprise-wide data from within its supplier database. The company has implemented Pilgrim’s Supplier Focus module to strengthen its ability to evaluate incoming materials, manage the resulting non-conformances and improve the overall supplier quality management process.

“We selected and implemented Pilgrim’s Supplier Focus technology because it’s easy to use, and enables us to generate and efficiently expedite the variety of reports needed to stay on top of our suppliers’ quality performance,” said Scott Brundige, Quality Systems Manager for Palomar.

Pilgrim's Supplier Focus helps monitor supplier performance, manage supplier quality information, and measure the cost of supplier quality. It can link to ERP/MRP systems to fill the quality checkpoint gap throughout the raw material supply and usage process and become a fully-integrated part of a company’s existing supply chain management system. Pilgrim’s Supplier Focus features online inspection plans and procedures, integrated receiving and inspection systems, sophisticated skip lot algorithms, nonconformance management, closed-loop supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) process, and online reporting and supplier analysis.
