| Pilgrim Software Honored with 2007 Florida Governor's Diversification Award |
Tampa, FL – October 10, 2007 -- Pilgrim Software, Inc., a world-leading provider of Enterprise Compliance and Quality Management (ECQM) software solutions, was honored this month by the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce Committee of One Hundred in the 2007 Governor’s Business Diversification Awards program. Sponsored annually by Enterprise Florida (EFI), the program recognizes Florida companies for diversifying and enriching the state's economy through job creation and distinctive community involvement and investment.
Recipients of the Governor’s Business Diversification Awards demonstrate commitment to creating jobs for Floridians, increasing capital investment and promoting corporate citizenship. Companies competed for the awards in five leadership categories: Business Expansion, Entrepreneurship, Export Excellence, Innovation, and Newcomer. Pilgrim was nominated in the Innovation category as a leader in technology innovation, recognizing its SmartSolve® ECQM software product.
Each nominee competed with other companies, organizations, universities and colleges in similarly sized markets, including Mid Market (county population up to 75,000); Major Market (county population 75,001 to 750,000) and Mega Market (county population 750,001 and higher). Pilgrim was honored in the “Mega Market” segment, which includes Hillsborough County/Tampa.
In addition to recognition as a successful Florida enterprise, all winners and nominees of the Governor’s Business Diversification Awards were acknowledged for their regional impact. “We honor Pilgrim Software in recognition of its economic and civic contributions to Hillsborough County,” said Roy McCraw, Jr., chair of the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce’s Committee of One Hundred.
