Tampa, FL – July 21, 2006 – Pilgrim Software, a world-wide leading provider of Enterprise Compliance and Quality Management (ECQM) solutions, announces that West-ward Pharmaceutical Corp. has gone live with Pilgrim’s SmartComplaints software to enhance and facilitate its product complaint handling capabilities and strengthen its regulatory compliance management.  Pilgrim’s off-the-shelf validation pack expedited the validation process of SmartComplaints and the system launched smoothly at West-ward’s Eatontown, NJ headquarters.

West-ward Pharmaceuticals was seeking an automated complaint handling system that would take its internal operations to the next level of compliance and quality management.  Pilgrim’s solution was selected because its out-of-the-box software requires less implementation time overall, enabling West-ward’s Information Technology experts to manage other projects simultaneously.

Once deployed, SmartComplaints helps Life Science companies like West-ward achieve rapid complaint resolution through its e-mail notifications, and tracking and escalation capabilities; improves the management of customer communication; and, ensures regulatory and industry compliance.
