Swedish Medical Device Company Q-Med AB Selects Pilgrim Software’s ECQM Solution

Tampa, FL – December 18, 2006 –
Pilgrim Software, Inc., a world-leading provider of Enterprise Compliance and Quality Management (ECQM) software solutions, today announced that Q-Med AB, a Sweden-based medical device manufacturer, has selected Pilgrim’s SmartSolve® to support its corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes, as well as its Technical Complaints management needs for addressing reportable events and non-reportable product performance issues.

Q-Med AB selected Pilgrim as its solution provider following a highly successful thorough evaluation during which Q-Med AB was able to configure and work with SmartCAPA and SmartComplaints.

Pilgrim is working with Q-Med AB to implement the SmartCAPA and SmartComplaints modules at Q-Med AB’s world headquarters and manufacturing site in Uppsala, Sweden.  These fully automated, out-of-the-box solutions enable the rapidly expanding company to minimize administrative overhead for data handling and reporting processes.  The validated solutions also will be used for compilation of statistics and trend reports for these areas.

“Our SmartCAPA and SmartComplaints solutions are built on more than a decade of experience working with medical device and manufacturing companies to address the challenges they regularly face when capturing, responding to, and trending technical complaints as well as non-conformances,” said Nikki Willett, Pilgrim’s Vice President of Marketing and Regulatory Products.  “Q-Med will quickly recognize that the benefits of working with Pilgrim’s out-of-the-box solution that were evident during the pilot phase, will translate into vast improvements to its current paper-based CAPA management and complaints handling processes, and ultimately, to the company’s bottom line.”
