South Texas Blood & Tissue Center Acquires Additional Q&MIS Users
Tampa, FL – November 22, 2005 – South Texas Blood & Tissue Center purchased additional concurrent users for Q&MIS by Pilgrim Software, the leading provider of Enterprise Compliance and Quality Management Solutions. The additional Q&MIS Calibration users allowed South Texas Blood & Tissue to further enhance its equipment management processes.
South Texas Blood & Tissue Center’s initial purchase of Q&MIS was made in March of 2005. With the implementation of the Q&MIS Calibration System, South Texas Blood & Tissue Center was able to eliminate their previous manual and labor intensive processes required to schedule calibration and to manage equipment inventory. By increasing the number of concurrent users South Texas Blood & Tissue Center can also ensure the right person is performing a calibration task thus eliminating potential errors by unauthorized or unqualified personnel. Additionally the expanded user base will improve equipment management processes which ensure greater productivity through reduced equipment downtime thereby maximizing the equipment’s life expectancy.
“The Q&MIS Calibration System allows South Texas Blood & Tissue Center to automate processes which mitigates risk and decreases the amount of waste due to out of spec equipment. The reduction of scrap materials as well as the maximization of quality processes is critical to South Texas Blood & Tissue because they constantly strive to maintain an adequate and safe supply of blood and tissue,” said Prashanth Rajendran, Chief Operating Officer of Pilgrim Software. ”
Currently, Pilgrim is working with South Texas Blood & Tissue to implement the SmartSolve Suite. In addition to the Calibration System, deploying SmartCAPA will be the next step in the implementation process.
