Tampa, FL – February 17, 2010 -- Pilgrim Software, Inc., a world-leading provider of Enterprise Compliance and Quality Management (ECQM) software solutions, today announced that Deborah Kacera, Senior Product Manager, Regulatory Products, for Pilgrim, will address the MEDTEC Europe conference next month in Stuttgart, Germany. Her presentation, “Global Selling Driving New Approach to Complaints and CAPA,” will examine how medical device companies can prepare to meet changes in global supply chain management. 

Based on her experience in the development and deployment of CAPA and Complaints management software solutions, Kacera will offer her insights into how global organizations can efficiently and effectively manage their value-chain processes as global regulatory oversight continues to expand.

“As companies continue to expand their global presence, the value-chain structure they have to manage becomes more complex as Sales and Service organizations, contract manufacturers and suppliers are located anywhere around the world,” Kacera said. “Regulatory attention across the entire supply chain is driving companies to focus on efficient and effective CAPA and Complaint management processes where the entire value-chain can share real-time, critical data, ensure that time sensitive deadlines are met, and collaborate on issues to share knowledge for proactive resolutions.

The 2010 MEDTEC EU conference will provide medical manufacturing's premier educational content for R&D, design, engineering, and quality professionals, and feature presentations from senior level executives from medical device companies focusing on innovation, risk management and quality engineering, and from representatives from European regulatory bodies. Kacera will speak on March 24 during an afternoon session focused on global outsourcing and supplier management.

Kacera was named one of the “100 Notable People” in the medical device industry in 2008 by MD&DI magazine.  As Senior Product Manager at Pilgrim Software, she is responsible for the company’s CAPA and Complaints management software products.  She determines specifications for product enhancements, new products and third-party product integration.  She supports Pilgrim’s products through all stages of their lifecycles, including conception, definition, development, release and post-release activities.  She works closely with customers, associations and regulatory bodies, including the FDA and European Competent Authorities, to generate requirements for future products and enhancements.
