Tampa, FL – April 19, 2012 -- Pilgrim Software, Inc., a world-leading provider of Enterprise Risk, Compliance and Quality Management (ERCQM) software solutions, today announced the appointment of Heather Valentine to Executive Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Product Management. Previously, Valentine was Vice President of Global Sales for Thermo Fisher Scientific for its Informatics division.
As Executive Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Product Management for Pilgrim Software, Valentine is responsible for establishing revenue goals and strategies and guiding the company in achieving those revenue goals, as well as developing and guiding Marketing and Product Management strategies to support Pilgrim’s growth, revenue and profitability goals.
Valentine brings to this position extensive domestic and international sales leadership experience focused on the healthcare and life science information technology markets, including selling to multiple industries within highly regulated environments, and establishing partnership alliance organizations.

Most recently, Valentine spent five years building, top-grading and leading Thermo Fisher Scientific’s world-class global software sales organization. In 2011, under her leadership, the company produced double-digit growth in seven out of eight teams across the globe.
Prior to Thermo, as Vice President of Worldwide Sales, she built and then led the global sales organization for Quovadx (now part of Infor). She had additional sales leadership roles with Lawson Software, including responsibility for building a high-performing sales team that attained second-highest-ranking region globally in 2001, winning the President’s Club for sales leadership performance. Valentine also created highly successful Global Partner Alliance programs for both Thermo and Quovadx, producing significant growth results for both companies.

Valentine earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Public Health and Administration, from Grand Valley State University in Michigan, and completed MBA work at Western Michigan University.
