Pilgrim Software Names Dr. Francine Décary to Its Board of Advisors

Tampa, FL, April 21, 2005 – Pilgrim Software, Inc., the global leader in Enterprise Quality and Compliance management solutions, announced today that Dr. Francine Décary has been appointed to its Board of Advisors. Dr. Décary, an expert in blood component safety, will provide Pilgrim another valuable knowledge source for the blood services industry, having served in research and management roles with Canadian Red Cross Blood Services for more than 20 years, and as Chief Executive Officer of Héma-Québec, Québec’s blood supplier, since 1998.

Pilgrim’s solutions are currently being used by leading Blood organizations such as Canadian Blood Services, the American Red Cross, Blood Systems, Florida Blood Services, The Community Blood Centers of South Florida, and The Blood Center of Southeastern Wisconsin to manage quality, reduce costs, and meet regulatory requirements.

As part of Pilgrim’s Board of Advisors, Dr. Décary will provide keen insight into the operational concerns facing Blood organizations and offer recommendations to Pilgrim for its product development strategies. Her broad experience in the Blood Services industry and role in overseeing organizational focus at HÉMA-QUÉBEC as Chief Executive Officer will help the company leverage its industry experience to build key relationships with other top Blood organizations.

“We are very pleased to welcome Dr. Francine Décary to our Board of Advisors,” said Ami Utji, Pilgrim’s President and CEO. “Francine’s approach to managing HÉMA-QUÉBEC demonstrates sharp business acumen, and her extensive industry knowledge will give Pilgrim a great advantage in the marketplace and help us better understand the Blood organizations we seek to serve.”

Currently, Dr. Décary is President of the International Society for Blood Transfusion. She is also a board member for several organizations, serving as Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Société de musique contemporaine du Québec, board member for the Centre d’interprétation des biosciences Armand-Frappier (CIBAF), and a member of the International Council for Commonality in Blood Banking Automation (ICCBBA).

“I am looking forward to working with Pilgrim Software and the other members of its Board of Advisors,” said Dr. Décary. “Pilgrim has demonstrated to the Blood Services Industry that it understands the operational challenges these organizations face daily and it can provide solutions to support them in achieving two of their core objectives – increase blood donation and strengthen its volunteer network.”

Dr. Décary has written more than 80 scientific articles and over 120 abstracts. She has participated in numerous industry events and conferences, and has received several industry honors, among them the Canadian Society for Transfusion Medicine Ortho Award, for her contributions to the Canadian Blood System.
