Osmetech is an international diagnostics company that serves the high-growth, near-patient testing market, targeting small- to medium-sized hospitals and laboratories to provide practical, cost-effective tools that enable improved patient care. Osmetech’s investigation and decision to purchase the popular Pilgrim software closely follows the FDA 510(k) approval Osmetech secured earlier this year for its e-Sensor® electrochemistry-based array system for cystic fibrosis carrier detection, a versatile platform on which Osmetech is currently working to develop complementary pharmacogenomics assays.
