Tampa, FL – August 25, 2006 – Pilgrim Software, Inc., a leading provider of Enterprise Compliance and Quality Management (ECQM) software solutions, today announced that Millipore has successfully deployed the SmartCAPA module globally in just five months using Pilgrim’s rapid implementation approach and out-of-the-box Validation Packs.  The implementation of SmartCAPA followed closely on the heels of the record-setting implementation of Pilgrim’s SmartAudit earlier this year.

SmartCAPA is a closed-loop management system that allows users in any department within an organization to initiate a corrective and preventive action to address and resolve an issue.  At Millipore, those issues include process, product and audit non-conformances, various levels of CAPAs and product correction. By facilitating an effective CAPA process, the solution helps to resolve issues quickly and prevent recurrence.

A key feature of the SmartCAPA implementation included the replacement of eight separate legacy systems with a single common platform. Through this, and other associated integrations, SmartCAPA provides Millipore with complete control, visibility and management of preventive action processes, and also enables standardization across the enterprise. 

With the rollout of SmartCAPA at sites in North America, France, Ireland, the UK and Japan, more than 2,000 of Millipore’s employees worldwide are now utilizing Pilgrim’s automated solutions.
