Kinetic Concepts Inc. Selects Pilgrim’s SmartSolve Suite


Tampa, FL – February 8, 2006
– Pilgrim Software, announces that Kinetic Concepts Inc., (NYSE: KCI) has purchased Pilgrim’s SmartSolve Suite: SmartAudit, SmartCAPA, SmartComplaints, SmartDoc and SmartTrain modules. With SmartSolve’s out-of-the-box applications, KCI is expected to streamline their regulatory processes and enhance its complaint handling which will accelerate reaction time to customer demands, increase customer satisfaction and help the company achieve its “Customer First” Initiative.

SmartSolve provides KCI with an automated CAPA and complaint management system, increased documentation and training control and standardized auditing tools. By utilizing SmartAudit, SmartCAPA, SmartComplaints, SmartDoc and SmartTrain, KCI not only ensures products are of the highest quality and are regulatory compliant but also expedites documentation, reporting and reaction processes. Additionally, SmartSolve’s integrated modules enhance management’s visibility and trending capabilities as well as assure that business processes are standardized and enforced throughout the organization.

SmartComplaints is slated to be the first module rolled out globally to all KCI call centers. The SmartAudit, SmartCAPA, SmartDoc and SmartTrain modules are scheduled to be deployed within the next year.
