Tampa, FL – December 22, 2006 – Pilgrim Software, Inc., a world-leading provider of Enterprise Compliance and Quality Management (ECQM) software solutions, today announced the Irish Blood Transfusion Service (IBTS) has selected Pilgrim’s SmartSolve® suite to support its documentation, audit, deviation/CAPA and training management processes across three of its key operations in Ireland.  Pilgrim will be supported in a phased implementation of its solutions by its partner in Ireland, Seabrook Research Ltd.

When evaluating solution providers that could best support its needs, IBTS recognized Pilgrim’s tremendous domain expertise with world-class customers in the blood services industry, the implementation of SmartSolve within numerous European Life Science companies, and the correspondence between the capabilities of Pilgrim’s out-of-the-box solutions and IBTS’ requirements.

SmartSolve will be integrated into IBTS to support key processes within multiple organizational departments and divisions, including Quality Assurance, Finance, Donor Services, Recipient Tracking, Haemovigilance, Clinic, Virology Department, Nursing and Administration.  The implementation will extend to three areas: the National Blood Centre in Dublin; Munster Regional Transfusion Centre in Cork; and, donor/collection centers in Ardee, Carlow, D’Oleir Street, Limerick, Stillorgan and Tuam.  The system will support IBTS’ mobile blood collection units as well.
