Tampa, FL – February 13, 2007 --Pilgrim Software, Inc., a world-leading provider of Enterprise Compliance and Quality Management (ECQM) software solutions, today announced that Invitrogen Corporation (NASDAQ: IVGN) has selected Pilgrim Software’s SmartTrain to manage its employee training and certification records at its United Kingdom subsidiary, BioReliance, in Glasgow, Scotland.  BioReliance is a leading contract service organization serving biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies worldwide.

With the implementation of SmartTrain at the BioReliance facility, the private U.K. subsidiary will join its parent company’s U.S. operations in managing key quality management systems with Pilgrim Software solutions. Pilgrim’s SmartDoc module will be implemented this spring at BioReliance Invitrogen BioServices in Rockville, MD.  SmartTrain will function in the U.K. via one centralized server located at the U.S. site, thereby simplifying the implementation and overall system control and enabling future integration between the two modules.

SmartTrain is a comprehensive solution for ensuring employee job quality and compliance by managing personnel skill sets and certifications, and streamlining course management activities, including the capability for on-line testing.  Invitrogen/BioReliance selected Pilgrim’s SmartTrain to automate its previous manual training management system and enable global visibility of employee training and certification status.
