Tampa, FL – February 4, 2009 -- Pilgrim Software, Inc., a world-leading provider of Enterprise Compliance and Quality Management (ECQM) software solutions, today announced that Invatec, a leading manufacturer of interventional devices for coronary and peripheral work, has successfully implemented and gone live with Pilgrim’s integrated solutions for complaints, nonconformance and CAPA management.
In implementing Pilgrim’s SmartSolve® solution for corrective and preventive action management, Invatec now has improved the visibility of its medical trending, analysis and reporting. It will have complete visibility of all its source errors through Pilgrim’s integrated CAPA and complaints solution. SmartCAPA™ and SmartComplaints™, two solutions that are part of the SmartSolve solution, form a closed-loop system that allows users to report, react to, and resolve issues, as well as prevent recurrence through appropriate actions. The centralized systems will support Invatec’s sites in both Italy and Switzerland by enabling better visibility of quality and compliance with regulatory record-keeping at the enterprise level.
“We were seeking an out-of-the-box automated solution with built-in best practices for managing CAPAs and complaints, and we recognized that Pilgrim’s integrated software meets our needs, with the added benefit of ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting our overall quality,” said Peter Muster, Vice President and Responsible for Quality and Regulatory Affairs for Invatec. “Implementing Pilgrim’s software enhances our quality efforts at both the process and product level.”
By streamlining Invatec’s processes Pilgrim’s solutions will help reduce overhead costs from the previous paper-based administration. In addition, the solutions provide Invatec with the scalability to easily integrate additional modules and multiply the number of users as its needs evolve.
“With the implementation of Pilgrim’s automated and integrated quality and compliance management systems, we are happy to have Invatec realize their automation vision in these critical areas”, said Prashanth Rajendran, Pilgrim Software’s Chief Operating Officer. “Furthermore, Invatec is now positioned to gain operational efficiencies which will ensure a higher level of customer satisfaction and further solidify its well-known reputation as a reliable supplier.”
About Invatec S.p.A.
Invatec S.p.A., headquartered in Brescia, Italy, was founded in 1996 as an outgrowth of FOGAZZI, a family run research company established in 1978 that specializes in plastic processing, extrusion and thermo forming (fuel lines, high pressure tubing, etc.) for the industrial field. In 1981, FOGAZZI started moving towards the medical area by prototyping and producing a small series of catheters dedicated to specific research projects in cooperation with Italian Universities and Public Research Foundation.
FOGAZZI initiated the production activity of medical devices in 1989 with the development of PTLA laser plaque debulking catheters. The company soon began manufacturing as an OEM supplier for well-established companies in the Interventional Vascular field. As OEM volumes grew throughout the following years, and thanks to the proven design, high performance and acceptance of these products, the decision was taken to establish a proprietary brand name in addition to the OEM line. Invatec was founded in 1996 to capitalize on FOGAZZI’s more than 15 years of experience in research, development and production in the medical field. www.invatec.com
