Tampa, FL – February 28, 2008 -- Pilgrim Software, Inc., a world-leading provider of Enterprise Compliance and Quality Management (ECQM) software solutions, today announced that Essilor, a global producer of ophthalmic optical products, has expanded its licensing agreement with Pilgrim. 

Essilor initially introduced SmartCAPA in 2006 as a centralized global complaint management system to support the complaint management and corrective and preventive action process across all Essilor operations and markets worldwide.  Following initial implementation, the system was operating smoothly and the company had experienced improvements in its overall efficiencies, however, the entire global operation was not up-to-speed with efficient CAPA process management. 

The company will further develop the system to include the management of product and service complaints, roll out complaint entry to labs and subsidiaries, and, when operational, implement customer satisfaction rating and measurement in the complaint process.
