Cordis Goes Live with Pilgrim’s Audit & CAPA Management Solutions
Tampa, FL – October 4, 2006 – Pilgrim Software, a world-leading provider of Enterprise Compliance and Quality Management (ECQM) software, today announced that Cordis Corporation, a Johnson & Johnson company, has expanded its investment in Pilgrim’s automated software solutions and gone live with both the SmartCAPA and SmartAudit modules.
Using Pilgrim’s Smart Audit, Cordis will enhance its existing internal capabilities for recording audits and resolutions, and be able to further address audit detailed investigations through CAPA management procedures with SmartCAPA.
Cordis has gone live with SmartAudit and SmartCAPA at laboratory, manufacturing and management facilities in six locations worldwide – Miami Lakes, FL; Juarez, Mexico; San German, Puerto Rico; Warren, New Jersey; Rhoden, Netherlands; and, Waterloo, Belgium. Audits performed at these sites are for compliance to ISO and quality requirements.
“What is critical to an organization’s audit process is the timeliness of audit completion, along with management visibility to oversee the status of the audit team’s performance or the process,” said Prashanth Rajendran, Pilgrim Software’s Chief Operating Officer. “The use of the integrated solution of SmartAudit and SmartCAPA allows for the complete management of an audit and its respective finds. The global management visibility afforded by our web-based applications support the critical nature of audit control.”
SmartAudit and SmartCAPA will be used by hundreds of users within Cordis (both auditors and auditees). Auditors will perform ongoing audits for health care compliance, software quality compliance and overall quality compliance. Other departments and divisions also have expressed interest in coming onto the system since it is flexible and well-suited to be adapted to other sites’ workflows.
Cordis will next implement Pilgrim’s SmartAudit Offline solution, enabling auditors to be more mobile during audits. The solution will allow them to access the audit system by laptop from remote locations.
