Cordis Corporation Purchases SmartAudit and SmartAudit Offline for Use at Six Facilities
Tampa, FL – September 30, 2005 – Pilgrim Software, Inc., the leading provider of Enterprise Compliance and Quality Management Solutions, announces Johnson & Johnson’s Cordis Corporation’s purchase of SmartAudit, SmartAudit Offline and the Validation Pack. The system will be installed at their J&J NCS facility in Raritan, NJ and deployed at 6 world-wide sites including two in Miami Lakes, FL; Warren, NJ; San German, PR; Juarez, Mexico and Rhoden, Netherlands. The system is planned for use by the Health Care Compliance, Quality Compliance and Software Quality Compliance Groups.
Cordis Corporation followed other Johnson & Johnson divisions when replacing their previous off-the-shelf auditing system. Pilgrim’s SmartAudit functionalities allow multiple sites to continue meeting audit scheduling, audit execution, recording and issuance of observations and captured corrective action responses. An electronic approval process, corrective action tracking, closure and management reporting are other important features within the new solution.
Cordis is expected to take advantage of Pilgrim’s Boot Camps and Train-the-Trainer Programs. The Validation Pack will allow Cordis to expedite the validation process as well as reduce the cost of computer system evaluation.
“We are pleased that Cordis Corporation, another division of Johnson & Johnson, purchased our SmartAudit solution,” states Prashanth Rajendran, Chief Operating Officer for Pilgrim Software. “SmartAudit provides Cordis with a powerful auditing solution, allowing critical assessment of their state of compliance. SmartAudit Offline allows personnel to perform remote audits while disconnected from the network. Audit results are merged in a single system, providing management greater visibility into the organization’s performance. While expediting the validation process for Cordis, the Validation Pack also reduces the cost and time spent to validate.”
