Tampa, FL – Aug. 18, 2006 -- Pilgrim Software, Inc., a world-leading provider of Enterprise Compliance and Quality Management (ECQM) software solutions, today announced that BloodCenter of Wisconsin has gone live with its SmartCAPA module for corrective and preventive actions.

BloodCenter’s management, identifying the need for an integrated quality and compliance management system and the need to streamline its day-to-day implementation of quality systems, chose Pilgrim’s SmartCAPA to replace its existing manual/paper CAPA system.  Through automation, the organization will see a vast improvement in both efficiency and the trending of adverse events to provide for more effective preventive actions.

Pilgrim Software representatives worked side-by-side with the BloodCenter team, thus allowing for a smooth implementation of SmartCAPA.  With SmartCAPA, the organization will achieve maximum efficiency and engage the system to assist with planning, execution and follow-up of change management. 

SmartCAPA, a component of Pilgrim’s SmartSolve solution, is a 100% Web-based nonconformance/error and deviation management solution, built on Microsoft .NET technology to provide closed-loop corrective actions.
