Tampa, FL – February 27, 2006 – Pilgrim Software, Inc. announces Belgian Red Cross (BRC) has gone live with Pilgrim’s SmartDoc solution at their Blood Services Headquarters in Mechelen, Belgium and across four blood processing centers. With SmartDoc live, BRC gains an enterprise-wide document management application which facilitates regulatory compliance while improving the accessibility and quality of critical documents.

Previously BRC utilized a disconnected and un-automated system to distribute information which forced employees to work with dated and disconnected information. With Pilgrim’s SmartDoc, BRC creates a collaborative environment where knowledge can be easily accessed and shared by connecting BRC’s people, information and processes. By automating its documentation process, BRC is able to streamline and enforce procedures as well as reduce the non-value added time required to create, manage and find documents.
