Tampa, FL – April 12, 2007 -- Pilgrim Software, Inc., a world-leading provider of Enterprise Compliance and Quality Management (ECQM) software solutions, today announced that Alpha Source, Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of medical products and equipment, has selected Pilgrim as its solution provider to address its expanding operations and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance. 
 
Alpha Source acquired the manufacturing operations of Access Battery, a Colorado-based medical device entity, to expand its medical and communications battery product line.  Through this addition of a manufacturing facility, Alpha Source recognized it would be continually open to the possibility of FDA inspections, and wanted to ensure ongoing, consistent quality and compliance across all sites.

Alpha Source will implement Pilgrim’s SmartCAPA solution for CAPA management, SmartDoc for documentation handling, SmartTrain for employee training and qualification tracking, SmartComplaints for complaint handling, and SmartAudit for internal and external audit management.

Pilgrim’s automated management solutions will enhance the visibility of Alpha Source’s employee qualifications and training on SOPs and documentation procedures.  Once implemented, those solutions also will lead to productivity gains earned through a reduction in manual labor processes.  The company will then be in a better position to re-deploy staff to conduct proactive, value-added activities across the organization.
