Dr. Francine Décary

Dr. Francine Décary is a member of Pilgrim’s Blood Industry Executive Advisory Panel and provides Pilgrim extensive knowledge of the blood services industry and keen insight into the operational concerns facing the industry and provides proven and practical recommendations to apply to Pilgrim’s product strategies. Professional Experience: President and CEO for HÉMA-QUÉBEC and an expert on blood component safety, having served in various research and management positions throughout her 20-year career with Canadian Red Cross Blood Services Immediate Past-President of the International Society for Blood Transfusion President of the Société de musique contemporaine du Québec Board Member for the Centre d’interprétation des biosciences Armand-Frappier (CIBAF) and ICCBBA Received several industry honors including: ‘Personality of the Week’ by La Presse for her valuable contributions in building HÉMA-QUÉBEC Award for Action and Caring ‘Médaille du mérite international du sang' ‘CSTM Ortho Award in Transfusion Medecine’ for her contributions to the Canadian blood system Published more than 70 articles and one hundred abstracts and participated in over 50 industry events Education: MBA from the Université de Sherbrooke Doctoral degree in immunohematology from the University of Amsterdam MD and specialist in hematology
