Community Involvement

Overview

Pilgrim Corporate Citizenship

The primary focus of our corporate citizenship activities is on developing initiatives to address local societal issues, such as our community's economic development, education, health and culture. We employ our most valuable resources -- our technology and talent -- to support innovative and beneficial programs in the community where we live and work.

Through involvement with the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce, as well as individual efforts, Pilgrim reaches out to assist non-profit organizations and community programs throughout the year.  Local food banks, elementary schools, holiday programs for low-income families and healthcare agencies have all benefitted from the charitable giving of Pilgrim's corporate enterprise and individual employees.

Since its establishment in 1993, Pilgrim has sponsored programs, undertaken its own charitable initiatives, and been recognized by local and regional governmental and business organizations for the good Pilgrim has done and for the achievements it has attained as a world-leading business solutions provider.

We're proud of our team, our programs and our accomplishments.

Keystone Little League aspires to be an outstanding educational-athletic organization that provides a high-quality experience, in which every athlete:
  • Has fun playing the game
  • Feels like an important part of the team regardless of performance
  • Learns "life lessons" that have value beyond the playing field
  • Learns the skills, tactics and strategies of the game and improves as a player
The higher purpose is to help the Local Little League impart the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair play to the children of the community, so that they may someday use these values in becoming good citizens.
The League is committed to creating a culture in which coaches, parents, fans, umpires and athletes work together to achieve its mission.

Pilgrim Software employees donated their time to Trinity Cafe in 2011, volunteering as food servers and table companions.

Trinity Cafe has been a beacon of hope and compassion in the Tampa Bay community since 2001. Housed at the Salvation Army, it serves over 200 hot, nutritious meals each and every weekday, including holidays. Since Trinity Cafe first began, it has served more than 656,000 free meals to homeless, poor and anyone wishing to receive a meal, without question or qualification. The meals are prepared by a professional chef and served by volunteer waiters. Together with the solidarity and commitment of its staff and volunteers, Trinity Cafe strives to be a gateway to positive change in the lives of the people it serves and seeks to enlarge its guests’ capacity for self-help and reconnect them to the broader community.

Pilgrim Software Gives Back

2010_Diploma-see_Page_1

On Oct 7th, 2010, Pilgrim employees volunteered their time and knowledge at Buchanan Middle School in Tampa for Diploma-See, a Junior Achievement Economics for Success Program. This program was a positive way for Pilgrim to give back to its local community, but more importantly, to give area eighth-grade students a goal to stay in school and complete their education. Students were required to complete multiple exercises ranging from Finances, Schooling Degrees, Checks & Balances and much more.  It was truly a gratifying experience to show these students that without proper education, their goals will be more challenging to reach.
